One of my favorite movies in recent years was the musical "Chicago." I have been hooked on musicals since my sophomore year of high school when the incomparable Mr. Fred Astaire cheered me up one depressing afternoon with his dry wit and beautiful dancing. Although I know there will probably never be another time where musicals flooded the film market such as they did from the 30's through the sixties, it is heartening to know that some film-makers still know how to make a good muscial and have the sheer bravery to keep doing so despite the fact that modern audiences or so jaded and cynical.
