I’ve been a fan of Kyle MacLachlan years before I even knew his name. Back in 1987, when I was 15, my parents and I went to see a science fiction thriller called The Hidden. We all liked it very much and I especially liked the lead in the film playing the F.B.I. Agent who was a bit quirky.

A few years later, I was flipping through channels and saw him again and stopped, recognizing him as the man from The Hidden. I watched the last 40 minutes of Blue Velvet not really knowing what was going on, but enjoying the film anyway.

Then, in 1990, as I was thumbing through an issue of TV Guide, I saw him again. There was a small blurb talking about a new TV show airing in April called Twin Peaks. I made a point of checking this new show out, simply because this man was on the show – once again playing a quirky F.B.I. Agent.
Twin Peaks became my favorite television show of all time and Kyle MacLachlan became one of my favorite actors of all time. He’s funny, he’s charismatic, he can play ‘normal’ or ‘odd’ as the role calls and his ‘look’ is my vision of the perfect man.

His most recent release is A Touch of Pink in which he plays Cary Grant in the form of an imaginary friend. The trailer makes the film look like a lot of fun and MacLachlan’s Grant is pretty damn good.
Below is a list of MacLachlan’s film and television credits and to the right are some select pictures. To learn more about Mr. MacLachlan, I recomend his official site at KyleMacLachlan.com and a very classy fan site at KyleMacLachlan.net.
